Quick and sweet monster romance。 I loved the direction that Katee went on this story。 I think Catalina’s backstory is heart wrenching and I felt it the whole way through。Thank is the perfect match in that his backstory is equally heart wrenching yet completely different。

I’m not normally a fan of the brat trope， but I really loved this book。 It made me feel all of the feels and I lost count of how many times I cried。Thane and Catalina definitely had a lot of past baggage that they’re working through， but their relationship is going to bloom into something amazing！

3。5？On the fence。 Overall， I was expecting a bit more from the characters， but Thane and Catalina kept falling into this trap of one-dimensioned， same mistakes over and over until the communication finally happened in the last little chunk。 I think this could have benefited from being a little longer。 I did love the pro-choice representation， and as always we have excellent queer rep， it just felt。。。 flat。 It was missing something。

Classic Katee Robert。 I think I liked this one more than The Dragons Bride！ There is a detailed page of tropes， tags and content warnings at the beginning of the book。 I really appreciated the inclusion of one of the plot points。 The story was good and the spice was also great。
